Everyone knows China has a huge population, with well over 1 billion people and is developing at a rapid rate. And as the 2008 Olympic Games approach, Beijing will take centre stage. China is also opening up to the Western world in a big way and everyone is keen to sample what it has to offer.
But wait! What about the cultural differences? These are apparent anywhere you go in the world and only seem like a huge obstacles because China is a largely unknown place. However learning a few polite expressions in another person’s language; and showing appreciation for the food and music of another culture can have especially positive effects.
